After trialling a dozen Picasa plugins, I found Adam Brown’s KB Easy PicasaWeb Wordpress plugin to be the most elegant solution and easiest to implement. However, the key feature I required was Lightbox/Slimbox support. After a short crash course in PHP, Wordpress plugin API and the Picasa API, I somehow managed to get it working.

While waiting for my partner to pick up some extra prepaid credits at the local Optus store, I noticed a demo model of the Samsung C170 lying on the front counter. My initial reaction was surprise at how thin it was. I assumed it must have been expensive and was subsequently surprised a second time when I learned it was AUD$80 on prepaid. Three days later, I became a new owner.

Another day, another monitor colour calibrated. This time it’s my 3 week old HP nx8420. Like the AOC 210V, the notebook displayed too much emphasis on blue and suffered from an overly bright image. Calibration resulted in a definite improvement in colour.The rest of this entry is really a cut and paste job. Please excuse my laziness.
