Losi Micro-T charger mod
Here are some photos of my modified Losi Micro-T charger. Flicking the switch left or right will change the power source to either batteries or a 12v wall adaptor. Instructions came courtesy of DarthRacer.
I used a three pos switch which turned out to be a bit of a mistake. My thinking was by setting it off and on, it would provide a simple way to reset the charger (I usually charge my Micro-T twice before running it).
Unfortunately I was wrong. In order to start charging, the charger needs to detect a voltage from the battery, not the charging power source. In order to reset the charger, I still need to unplug then replug the battery.
Regardless, it all turned out well. I haven’t noticed any difference in charging time or runtime of the Micro-T or Micro-Baja when using the 12v adaptor or batteries. However, the convenience of not having to constantly recharge 8x AA batteries is definitely noticeable.
